ADVANCEMENT OF WOMEN
In almost all poor countries, women are victims of socio-cultural blockages that give them a status of devaluation and inferiority. With this traditional misconception perceived as being in relation to men, women, especially those in rural areas, are faced with various problems, among other things: the persistence of multidimensional poverty and the increasing poverty burden on them; unequal and difficult access of women to education, training and health; inequality in economic structures and policies and in the management of public goods; persistent discrimination against women and violations of their fundamental rights. It is clear that if women understood their conditions and rights, improved their incomes and acquired skills that were traditionally denied them, empowerment would follow. It is in this perspective that DedeFund is committed to the promotion and dignity of women by supporting any project that can contribute to the integral development and total empowerment of women, to the reduction of gender inequalities, the abolition of all forms of discrimination and violence against women, the strengthening of women’s educational, health, entrepreneurial, managerial and financial capacities in Africa and elsewhere in the world.
